The last week I have been working on the PR plan and event manual for Corroboree.
The i have written numerous press releases and articles for this event.
I will add a copy of a recent article I wrote for the Department of State and Regional Development Business newsletter.
The Hunter plays Host to the USA
Australia’s world-renowned Hunter Valley has been announced as the host of Corroboree- The America’s 2007, a conference for US, Canadian and Latin American “Aussie Specialist” Travel Agents.
The Hunter Region was announced as the Host after winning a competitive pitch to Tourism Australia in The States earlier this year.
North American Corroboree showcases the best of Australia every year including great food, great wine, and breath taking atmospheres.
From fine wines and gourmet food to luxury accommodation and stunning scenery, the Hunter Valley offers a true taste of the good life, in one of the oldest wine –growing areas in Australia.
The Hunter Region will be hosting Corroboree with all the trimmings with the inclusion of functions such as Aussie Food and Wine Night and the ‘Opals in the Vines’ Awards night.
Aussie Food and Wine Night will be held at the breath taking Hunter Valley Gardens where the “Aussie Specialists” will be tantalizing their taste buds with best food and wine the Hunter has to offer.
Wines from Hunter Wineries such as Tamburlanie, Tower Estate, McGuigan Cellars and Allandale Winery will be on display to complement the fine foods of Il Cacciatore, Chez Pok, and The Mill Restaurant to name a few.
The Opal in the Vines awards night will be held at Cypress Lakes Resort. This is a night to enjoy fine food and fine wine in recognition for fine work within the industry.
Corroboree 2007 will be held from Wednesday 12th September to Friday the 14th September at The Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley hotel. Approximately 150 Aussie Specialist Travel agents will be in attendance.

My First Day....
Well I finished my first day at my Event placement this week.
It actually really good.
I was given the opportunity to write a media release, start a PR plan and an event manual, both of which I will continue to work on next week.
All the staff were great and I really enjoyed my time. I will also post a copy of the media release for those who are interested!!!
